In 1914, Americans invented the air-jet loom. In 1950, Czechoslovakia produced the first commercial air-jet loom. In the 1970s, air-jet looms began to be used in industrial production. Early air-jet looms could only produce narrow width fabrics. Due to low loom speed and poor fabric quality, they could only produce monochromatic and simple plain fabrics. The speed, automatic monitoring level, product quality and variety adaptability of modern new air-jet looms have been greatly improved, and they have become the fastest-growing model in shuttleless looms. Nowadays, foreign advanced air-jet looms adopt a large number of advanced technologies, especially electronic and microelectronic technologies, which greatly improve the performance of air-jet looms on the premise of ensuring product quality. Today, the world's famous manufacturers are mainly Tsudakoma of Japan, Toyota, Picanol of Belgium, Itema of Italy and Dornier of Germany.
China Development
China first introduced za200 air-jet loom from tsudaku company of Japan for trial weaving by Shanghai Textile Research Institute in 1982, and introduced the manufacturing technology of ZA203 air-jet loom from tsudaku for the first time in 1984. At present, the main representative models of domestic air-jet looms are: Qingdao Hongqi textile machine JA11A, spr700 seplan air-jet loom, Xianyang loom Gax and za209i, China textile machine ga718, Weifang jincricket js21n, Suzhou Textile machine asga701, etc.
