1. Carpet loom carpet characteristics
Nowadays, most carpets produced by carpet looms are tufted, and a few are looped.
2. Composition of tufted carpet loom
The tufted carpet loom is composed of a pile shaft frame, a double shed opening mechanism, a pile inserting mechanism, a double weft insertion mechanism, a double weft beating mechanism, a pile picking mechanism and a pile cutting mechanism.
3. Working process of tufted carpet loom
The number of pile shafts on the pile shaft frame is the same as the number of weft tufts with different colors in each complete organization of the carpet. In the weaving process, the insertion mechanism holds a pile of wool yarn from the pile shaft frame and moves downward, inserting a certain length of a row of color matching wool into the middle of the double shed warp. Then, the upper weft insertion rod starts the first weft insertion and introduces a double weft into the upper shed. Then the reed advances to complete the first weft beating. When the reed retreats, the fluff is embedded between the opening and the weft just introduced into the shed. As the reed continues to retreat, the shed closes. At the same time, the pile picking rod starts to move backward, first folding the pile to the rear, and then moving upward to bend the pile into a U shape and insert the warp pile. At this time, the shed is further opened, and the upper and lower weft guides are driven at the same time to feed the two double weft flutes into the upper and lower shed respectively at the same time. Then the pile cutter advances and cuts the pile fed into the carpet. When the reed advances again, push the double weft threads in the upper and lower shed openings to the loom opening. With the retreat of the reed, the shed is closed again, and the position at the beginning is restored to complete a pile forming process.
