What is the difference between the cam shedding and the dobby shedding of the loom?
On the loom, according to the requirements of the fabric structure, the warp yarns are separated up and down to form a shed movement, referred to as shedding.
The completion of the shedding action is called shedding. The function of shedding: separates the warp yarns up and down to form a shed;
According to the requirements of the fabric weave, the ascending and descending order of the warp yarns is controlled.
There are many types of shedding, such as:
1) Cam shedding mechanism - for weaving simple fabrics such as plain weave and twill weave, generally 2-12 pages of heald frames can be used.
2) Dobby shedding mechanism - weaves more complex fabrics with small patterns. Generally, 16-page heald frames are used.
3) Jacquard shedding mechanism - weaves complex large pattern fabrics. Directly use healds to control the lifting and lowering of each warp yarn.
When Rw>8, multi-arm shedding is generally used.
composition
Pattern plate: stores the information of the lifting sequence of the heald frame, and is usually prepared in advance under the machine according to the requirements of the pattern plate diagram.
Reading device: Convert pattern board information into actions to control the lifting.
Heddle lifting and heddling returning device: performs heddle lifting and heddling returning actions respectively.
